Updated – Phase 2 of Green Deal Home Improvement Fund…

Speaking at the Liberal Democrat Conference, Energy Secretary Ed Davey, announced plans to bring back the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund.

The scheme will provide £100m of subsidies to those looking to insulate their home or make other energy saving improvements. Under the previous itineration each household was eligible for a maximum of £7,600 worth of funding.

The cash is the second offering as part of the Government scheme, after applications for the first £120million were scooped up earlier this year.

Applications for a new phase of the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund designed to help people make energy saving improvements to their home, will open to applications before the end of November 2014.

Further details including terms and conditions, rates and all measures to be covered will also be announced in November 2104, we shall also keep you posted on our blog.

The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund (GDHIF) was initially launched on 9th June 2014. It is currently closed to applications after the allocated funding was fully committed.
